The deadline is getting closer....
We have less than 4 weeks to go and most people are making good progress. I'd like lots of you to aim for A grades, so you need to really work on those pages to make sure they're perfect! If you'd like to see some excellent blogs from last year, have a look at:
Oliver Adams-Liggins
Daisy Squire
Imogen Smith
Kath Bourne
Hannah Sharrad
Hannah Stanton Warren
All of the blogs mentioned above (plus many of the other ones) are good for a variety of reason - some have excellent pages, some have excellent research and some have very good evaluations.
Remember, to do a good evaluation you should try and use different technologies, so consider making a podcast or video of your evaluation.
Finally, the deadline is the 11th March. So go go go!

Welcome Back
Happy New Year!
Hope you all had a great holiday and have come back refreshed and ready to do some work. We are now moving on to the main task, which is to create your music magazine. For this, everything needs to be of a higher standard and you should all be aiming to get the top grades! Make sure your action plans are posted on your blog this week so that you know exactly what you need to do each lesson.
I'm looking forward to seeing some excellent final products - deadline is Friday 11th March

Fill in a questionnaire!
It would be really nice if everyone spent about 30 minutes this week answering questionnaires and filling in polls posted by other students. It's also a chance to check out what everyone else is doing! Use the list opposite to visit each blog

Coursework 2010-2011
Welcome to all new students just starting their coursework blog. Attached to this page you'll find links to all of last year's blogs, so if you need some ideas or inspiration then have a look. To start off you need to focus completely on your student magazine. For this you need to make a front cover and a contents page. You are restricted as to what type of photograph you can use on the front cover, so make sure you refer carefully to your brief sheet.
Remember I can view your work at any time, so make sure you are well organised and keep up to date!
Finally, please make sure, if you haven't already, that you e mail me with the link to your work asap
Enjoy!!

One Week to Go!
The deadline is fast approaching! For those of you have forgotten, all work needs to be in by the 12th March. That includes your evaluation and all your pages finished. If you are unsure of the evaluation questions or how to do your evaluation, see your help sheet given out in lessons earlier this week.
Some of you still have lots to do, so get working!

Questionnaires and Polls

We are all a bit behind this week because of exams and snow, so we need to work extra hard this week to get caught up. Try to get your questionnaire posted as soon as possible so that you give people enough time to fill them in. Also check Imogen's blog to see an example of a Poll in action, you can create these online and embed them in your blog.
Don't forget you will need to write a treatment sheet later this week, to see an example log onto moodle.

Top Bloggers
Hard to believe that in this horrible weather there are still people out there blogging away. This of course is to be commended and more of you should be doing it!!!!
Without a doubt, the best blogs at the moment are those belonging to:
Amy Dyson
and
Lorna Clark
Well done you two and keep it up! More top bloggers next week - will it be you??

Snow Days!!
Hi all,
Even though we are all stuck at home, remember you can still be adding to your blog. If your blog has been "deleted" you can apply to have it re-activated by signing in and using the link you will find on your dash board. Please do this asap if you are one of the unlucky ones!
You will need to post your new action plan then start by analysing exisiting music magazines.
Some of you might want to make the most of the weather and do a snowy photoshoot for your front cover.
See you soon
Caroline :)

Important Message
Hi all
I will not be in your session today (Tuesday 1st December). This is because I'm on a course in London. Please carry on with your project, completing the tasks that are on your action plan. I'll be checking your blogs from home later that day!
Vicki's lesson will go on as normal

Reminders!
Hi all,
Please don't forget to send me a copy of your blog address so that I can link it to this one. This will make it easier when you want to view and comment on the blogs of other class members. Also it's helpful during the moderation process.
Happy blogging everyone!

Hello!
Hi all,
This blog has been set up to demonstrate how to create a blog for your AS level Foundation Production. On here, I'll create a sample piece of coursework so that you can see what will be expected of you during the coursework period. All your research and planning should feature on here, along with your pictures, layouts and copies of your final work. You'll also need to answer your evaluation questions on here. It's all very exciting and will mean that the only thing you have to physically hand in will be your final pages - everything else should be stored electronically on here.....so happy blogging!
